The Cadro team is delighted to welcome Gordon Hurst as Non-Executive Chairman, in the latest top tier hire of the company's expansion.

Hurst brings his exceptional track record of nurturing high-potential UK companies to the rapidly growing wealth technology business, led by an established team of prominent industry experts.

Chairman of cyber security giant Darktrace since April 2021 (formerly Non-Executive Director since August 2019), Hurst also sat on the Board of Featurespace, a world-leader in financial crime prevention software, for over nine years, until December 2023. Prior to this, he was Chief Financial Officer at Capita for 27 years, joining the business in 1988 when it had just 45 employees, before playing a pivotal role in its growth into a FTSE 100 company, with a team of around 70,000 at the time of his departure.

Hurst joins a team of executives and advisers with a track record of innovation and decades of combined experience in finance and governance. Cadro’s advisory board includes Jenny Knott (Non-Executive Director of British Business Bank), Simon Lewis OBE (former Chief Executive of the Association for Financial Markets in Europe and Downing Street Director of Communications), Gayle Schumacher (Independent Non-Executive Director at Scottish Widows and Lloyds Bank Insurance Board), Jonathan Marriott (former CIO at LGT Wealth) and Gary Smith (former CEO of Atlas Master Trust).

Cadro Co-founder and CEO Nataša Williams said, “We are delighted that Gordon has joined the business as we build on the significant success we have seen to date. He brings invaluable expertise in scaling technology-driven businesses and building diverse, world leading teams that enable success. It is a testament to the quality of our offering that we have been able to attract industry experts of the highest calibre who share our belief that there is a better way to support investors in the twenty-first century.”

Gordon Hurst said, “The opportunity for innovation in wealth management is significant, but few have been able to develop a compelling, high-end offering that balances the convenience of technology with a rewarding and personalised experience. Cadro’s technology, combined with the strength of the investment team, is a deeply compelling proposition for modern investors, demonstrated by the traction seen so far. I believe this is a business that will fundamentally change how investors engage with their wealth, and I am excited to join Cadro on this journey.”
